Speech and Language Therapy Sessions
Autism Treatment Services of Saskatchewan, Inc. is pleased to
announce the delivery of SUBSIDIZED SPEECH-LANGUAGE THERAPY SESSIONS
through partial funding received by the Saskatoon District Health grant
and the James P. Mahoney Fund (Saskatoon Foundation). Sessions are delivered by registered Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP's) in
Saskatchewan to children diagnosed with autism or related spectrum
disorder between the age of 5 and 18 years of age. The goals focus on personal and social communication to enhance
interaction at home, school, and in the community. Eligibility Eligibility is based on the following: Gross family income
as confirmed by presentation of the most current Income Tax Return
(priority
given to lowest income families). No
participation in a Health Plan. Further:
SLP’s are partnered with approved applicants for weekly
one-hour sessions delivered during late afternoons, early evenings, or
weekends, for a 12-week period at a pre-arranged location. The purpose
of the initial
meeting between the SLP and child is to determine and set 1-2 goals
per child, in conjunction with the parent/caregivers. Upon completion of the 12-week period, a final written report,
made by
the SLP, is available for parents, ATSS, and teachers. Family Fee Structure Fees are payable in installments to ATSS. For further information, contact Angie at (306) 665-7013.
